Welcome to another programme of walks which takes us through to the end of March 2018. This programme would not be possible without the people who voluntarily give of their time to organising and leading walks. However some of us are getting older, so if anyone feels they would like to lead a walk, yet are not too confident about it, get in touch with a member of the committee and we'll give you any help that you might need. Remember - No Leader, No Walk!
Michael May - Chairman
It has been noticeable that over the last couple of weeks the trees have donned their autumnal colours and we have enjoyed walking through the crisp, freshly fallen leaves. We now look forward to the winter programme which our walk leaders have prepared for us. We are always in need of new walk leaders, so if you feel able to lead a walk, please contact me.
June Fieldsend - Thursday Walks Secretary
Once again many thanks to those of you who have lead and supported our walks over recent months.
You will see from this issue that we have tried to put on short walks on Sundays in addition to the normal programme of longer walks. Sadly we have only had two put forward so we are not sure how well received the idea is. If you would like to lead a short walk and hadn’t heard that we were going to try them on a Sunday please contact me.
We have a varied selection of walks available over the coming season so don’t hibernate just because it’s a bit cool and breezy - come and join us!
Maggie Beresford - Sunday Walks Secretary
